Under the motto “Connecting the Embedded Community”, the programme committee of the world's largest conference on embedded hardware and software is once again calling for submissions of presentations. The electronic displays Conference is also accepting presentation proposals from speakers until the beginning of October.

For 23 years, the embedded world Exhibition&Conference has established itself as the annual meeting place for the global embedded community. This is also reflected in the call for papers for the embedded world Conference 2026 with its motto “Connecting the Embedded Community”. The aim of the conference is to bring together experts from industry and application-oriented science on the world's largest platform for embedded hardware and software to network, exchange ideas, share knowledge and generate ideas. Its organisers also see embedded world as a “community of communities” and are cooperating this year with 15 international industry consortia, which are supporting the embedded world Conference with their knowledge, experts and session chairs.

At the same time, the electronic displays Conference 2026 will present exciting innovations from the world of display technologies. Europe's leading trade conference for display technologies, with its renowned speakers, will facilitate intensive discussions and a lively exchange on challenges and solutions relating to displays.

Call for papers: embedded world Conference 2026

With its focus on both technologies and applications and a strong emphasis on cross-system and cross-domain aspects, the embedded world Conference 2026, which will take place from 10 to 12 March 2026 in parallel with the embedded world trade fair in Nuremberg, is the platform for topics related to the engineering of modern, increasingly complex embedded systems.

With its call for papers, the conference advisory board is inviting submissions for presentations, classes, panel discussions and keynotes on forward-looking technologies and best practices in the field of embedded systems. Interested parties have until 29 September to submit their proposals for the embedded world Conference 2026 on the following topics:

  • Internet of Things (IoT): Platforms, Applications and Connectivity Solutions.
  • Embedded Operating Systems: Real-time Capability, Resource Efficiency and Security.
  • Safety & Security: Functional Safety, Cybersecurity and Resilience.
  • Systems, Hardware and Software Engineering: Board-level Design, Processes and Methods.
  • Embedded Vision: Hardware and Software for Image Processing.
  • Edge AI: Machine Learning and AI in End Devices
  • System-on-chip (SoC) Design: Architecture, Integration and Energy Efficiency.
  • Green & Sustainable Engineering: Sustainable Development, Energy Saving and Lifecycle Optimisation.
  • Use Cases & Prototypes: Practical Examples from Research and Pre-development

“The embedded world Conference covers the entire spectrum of embedded systems,” explains Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora, Chairman of the Steering Board. "We see particularly strong momentum in areas such as edge AI, where increasingly powerful edge computing, including efficient algorithms and flexible architectures, enables not only inference but also ‘real’ learning. But embedded security, connectivity and the development of complex overall systems are also becoming increasingly important."

The deadline for submitting abstracts is 29 September 2025.

Call for Papers: electronic displays Conference 2026

Every year, display experts from around the world gather at the electronic displays Conference (edC) in Nuremberg to present and discuss the latest results from research and development. The edC programme committee invites experts from industry and research to submit their contributions from the fields of research, development, applications and market perspectives in the field of display technologies for the upcoming edition on 11 and 12 March 2026 in Nuremberg. The call for papers is aimed at experts along the entire value chain – from material development and system integration to innovative applications. The main topics are:

  • Display Technologies & Materials: LCD, OLED, MicroLEDs, Quantum Dots, E-Paper, Projection, flexible, stretchable and transparent Displays, as well as new materials and substrates.
  • Applications & Use Cases: Automotive, Aviation, Rail, Industry, Medical Technology, Consumer Electronics, Smart Home, Wearables and IoT.
  • Interfaces & Control: Signal Processing, High-speed Data Transmission, System Integration.
  • Touch, Haptics & Interaction: Touch Technologies, Gesture Control, Haptic Feedback, GUI/HMI Design and User Experience.
  • Immersive & 3D Technologies: AR, MR, VR, Smart Glasses, Microdisplays, Head-up Displays, Holography and 3D Content.
  • Display Measurement Technology & Image Quality: Colour Rendering, Brightness, Contrast, Viewing Angle, Service Life, Test and Measurement Standards.
  • System Integration & Reliability: Thermal Management, Robustness, EMC, Environmental Testing, Power Supply, Service Life Optimisation.
  • Display Components & Assemblies: Backlighting, Polarizers, Diffusers, Adhesives, Optical Bonding, Coatings.
  • Production, Supply Chain & Sustainability: Custom Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Logistics, Energy Efficiency, Eco-design, Recycling.
  • Market Trends, Regulation & Standards: Global Market Insights, Investments, Regulatory Requirements, Cost of Ownership.
  • AI & Smart Displays: AI-assisted Image Processing, Adaptive User Interfaces, Predictive Maintenance, Context-sensitive UIs.
  • Security & Privacy: Data Protection-conscious Displays, Secure Interfaces, Integrated Biometric Authentication.

“This year, we have included the topics of immersive display, sustainability, AI & smart displays, and security & privacy in order to reflect current trends in these areas,” says Prof. Dr. Jan Bauer, chair of the programme committee. He also points out a special feature of the edC: “In addition to the presentations and the highly visible posters, the ‘author interviews’ in the foyer in front of the edC conference rooms allow speakers to engage in direct contact and exchange ideas with interested participants.”

The deadline for abstract submissions is 6 October 2025.
