Sondrel's platform reference design for an ultra-low power, secure IoT device is based on the work we did in partnership with Samsung Foundry(R), Arm(R) and Cadence(R) on the Musca-S1 IoT demonstrator chip and development board, which will be available on our stand.
Sondrel's design work on Musca A1 and the newest, Musca S1 chip involved integrating the SSE 200 subsystem and applying Platform Security Architecture Principles such that the root of trust for the cryptographic security capability is embedded within the chip making a more robust and secure IoT device that seamlessly integrates with IoT device management platforms such as the Arm Pelion(TM) product.
Sondrel's IoT reference design provides the starting point for a low power IoT device incorporating any type of sensor input and is compatible with a range of connectivity options. As an ultra-low power solution using FDSOI technology and eMRAM the device can have a long field life on a single battery and is ideal for use in high volume situations where a single organisation needs to manage multiple end point devices securely at scale.
Sondrel's IoT reference design can also be treated as a security subsystem that forms part of a larger area chip for more complex digital designs involving sophisticated processing such as video analytics or functional safety features.
