Thin-Mini ITX Board with Apollo Lake BGA Processors

With the PD10AI, ICP Deutschland launches a Thin Mini ITX Board that supports system integrators in two ways. The first is the low height of the board, which is required for particularly compact systems.. On the other hand by the design of the board, which allows the certification according to EMV/FCC class B.

The PD10AI is equipped as standard with the Intel® Celeron® N3350 Dual Core processor, which supports a burst frequency of 2.4GHz. Optionally, a version with Quad Core Intel® Pentium® N4200 with 2.5GHz burst frequency is available. Both versions support up to 8GB DDR3L SO-DIMM memory with a maximum clock rate of 1867MHz. The internal Intel® HD graphics unit provides triple display support. A 4K HDMI with max. 3840x2160 resolution, a 4K display port with max. 4096x2160 resolution and a Full HD LVDS connector with max. 1920x1200 resolution are available. The LVDS connector can optionally be replaced by a 4K embedded display port with max. 3840x2160 resolution.

The PD10 AI is equipped with two Intel® i211-AT network ICs which support a maximum speed of 1Gb/s and the PTP (Precision Time Protocol) according to IEEE1588. The motherboard offers four USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, one LPT and two RS-232 interfaces for the connection of peripheral devices. Mass storage devices can be connected to the two SATAIII or the M.2 2280 B keys with SATA and USB signals attached. Optionally the PD10AI can be extended with a configurable COM interface module MS-04COM-D10. With this two RS-232 interfaces with adjustable voltage output for external devices as well as two RS-232/422/485 interfaces are available. The LPT port can optionally be converted to a MiAPI interface and provides ten programmable GPIOs, one SMBUS, one UART and watchdog functionality.

A PCI Express x1 slot, an M.2 2242/2260/2280 and an M.2 2230 slot are available for add-on card expansion. To protect the system, the PD10AI can be equipped with a TPM module. The PD10AI is designed for operation with 8 to 24 volts DC. All variants work reliably in a temperature range from 0 °C to 60 °C. Upon customer request, ICP can also supply the PD10AI as a bundle with industrial RAM and storage medium.

LoRaWAN Gateway for the Internet of Things

With the UG85, ICP Germany launches an intelligent and compact indoor LoRaWAN gateway that can be expanded in many ways.

The UG85 is offered with a 64-bit ARM Cortex A-53 with 800 MHz, 512MB DDR3 RAM and 8Gb eMMC flash memory. Eight LoRa channels based on the Semtech SX1301 chipset are available, which can be delivered in the frequency band for the respective target country. The UG85 supports version V1.0 Class A and C as well as V1.0.2 Class A and C and has a maximum range of 10km. A 10/100/1000 Base-T network connector, a serial RS-232 connector, a digital input and an output are available as standard.

The gateway functionality can optionally be extended by 3G/4G mobile radio with dual SIM slot and IEEE802.11 b/g/n/ac WiFi. GPS with an accuracy of less than 2.5 meters is also available as an optional extension. The UG85 supports a variety of network protocols, VPN tunnels, access authentication, firewall functionalities and management options. The serial port can be operated in transparent mode (TCP Client/Server, UDP), as Modbus Gateway (Modbus TCP on Modbus RTU) and as Modbus Master. The voltage input range of the UG85 is designed for the range from 9 to 48 volts DC. The typical consumption is 2.3 watts and under full load max. 6.5 watts.

Optionally, the PoE 802.3 af/at functionality can be added to the Ethernet connection and the UG85 can thus be expanded to a Powered Device. The housing is IP30 protected and particularly compact with 108x90x26 mm (L/W/H). Wall mounting or DIN rail mounting is easily possible. The UG85 is designed for operation in a temperature range from -40 °C to +70 °C. The UG85 can be operated in a temperature range from -40 °C to +70 °C.

Created for extremes: Modular Embedded PC with XEON Power and 10x PoE

With the MX1-10FEP, ICP Deutschland launches the first embedded PC of the new modular M series. The MX1 is designed to withstand extremes and has high computing power, flexible expansion options for hardware and applications in extreme environments. With the 1151 processor socket and the Intel® C246 chipset used, the MX1 supports XEON and Core I processors from Intel 8th generation. This generation brings a performance increase of up to 36% for XEON and up to 15% for Core I processors compared to the previous generation. Both 35 Watt CPU variants and CPUs with up to 80 Watt are supported. Up to 32GB ECC or non-ECC DDR4 2666 MHz RAM can be installed depending on the processor variant.

The Intel HD graphics provides an HDMI, a display port and a DVI-I output. In the case with a volume of just 7.8 litres, three 2.5" installation frames, one of which is designed as a removable medium, two Mini PCIe slots with mSATA support, an M.2 2242/2260/2280 slot with PCIe x4 signal, an M.2 2230 and a PCI Express x16 interface can be accommodated. The latter interface is designed for the operation of expansion and graphics cards. The MX1 also offers connection options for remote power ON/OFF and remote reset. This allows the MX1 to be placed and operated even in places that are difficult to access.

There is also space for one Intel i219-LM and one i210-IT GbE LAN port each, six USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, PS/2, two RS-232/422/485, two SIM card holders and three expansion slots for optional MX1 expansion modules. As an expansion module, fourfold LAN with RJ45 with and without PoE+ functionality, fourfold LAN with M12 connector with and without PoE+ functionality, a twofold RJ45 PoE+ module, an isolated fourfold combo RS-232/422/485 and 8-bit DIO interface and a Vehicle Power Ignition module are available. For example, the MX1 can be equipped with ten PoE connections for image processors. The MX1 can withstand ambient temperatures from -40 °C to 70 °C, depending on the CPU type, and can offer additional EN50155 and E-MARK certifications for vehicle and rail operation. With a voltage range from 9 to 48 volts DC, the MX1 covers a very wide range, industrially designed with reverse power control, overvoltage and overcurrent protection.

ICP supplies the MX1 as a ready-to-use system with matching industrial RAMs and storage media to ensure that the extremes can also be exploited.

PoE Upgrade for the AFOLUX GEN III series

The proven AFOLUX GEN III series from ICP Germany now has a PoE upgrade option with the new edition. Via an optional PoE module, PoE functionality is added to a GbE LAN interface and the AFL3 becomes a Powered Device. In this way, the 10.1" to 15.6" panel PCs can be operated without an additional power supply and process data simultaneously. Power over Ethernet according to IEEE802.3at or bt standard is supported. This requires that the feeding network provides up to 30W or 60W to supply the AFL3-AL with sufficient power.

The AFL3-AL series is equipped with capacitive touch (PCT) as well as anti-glare and anti-UV protection. Inside it works an Apollo Lake Intel® Celeron® J3455 processor with max. 8GB DDR3L memory. A 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s hard disk frame and an M.2 slot are available for data storage. Optionally, the M.2 slot serves as an E-Window extension for implementing additional interfaces such as LAN, DLAN, Profibus or EtherCAT.. Depending on the display size, one RS-232/422/485, one RS-232, two USB 3.1, two USB 2.0 and one HDMI are available. The AFL3-AL is equipped with a WiFi kit and integrated Bluetooth 4.1 as standard and offers a wide range of mounting options from panel and wall mounting to VESA mounting. The filigree housing design has been retained so that the AFL3-AL series is still suitable for use in a temperature range of -20~+50°C and can be operated with 9~30V.

ICP offers suitable switches and inverters that support the Ethernet standards IEEE802.3at/bt so that nothing stands in the way of the PoE upgrade of the AFL series.

FPGA for Deep Learning Inference

The FPGA-based Mustang-F100 accelerator card from ICP Deutschland is designated for industrial inference systems. It is primarily used for deep learning inference in real time, for video and image processing as well as for the analysis of machine and sensor data.
The Mustang-F100 is based on the Intel® Arria® 10 GX1150 FPGA and is equipped with 8GB on-board DDR4 RAM. Due to its parallelism and its high degree of configuration, which is inherent in the FPGA, the Mustang-F100 can handle changing workloads and different floating-points. It also supports a variety of topologies such as AlexNet, ResNet or Yolo Tiny. From classic object recognition to video and image classification to facial recognition or image segmentation, there are virtually no limits to the target application..
Thanks to the integrated Intel® Enpirion® power solution, the Mustang-F100 features high efficiency (<60W TDP), power density and performance (up to 1.5 TFLOPs). The performance of the Mustang-F100 is additionally optimized by the compatibility with the Intel® OpenVINO™ toolkit. Different library functions, pre-optimized operating systems and pre-trained models accelerate the time-to-market decisively.
Its low-profile with dimensions of 170x68x34mm and its standard PCIe Gen3 x8 interface enable an easy integration of the AI acceleration card. The assignment of an individual card ID allows a flexible use of several Mustang-F100s in inference system. As suitable inference systems the FLEX-BX or the TANK-870AI are offered. ICP supports customers in selecting and setting up the appropriate hardware.
