The SiT9365 and SiT9366 differential oscillators from the US manufacturer SiTime are extremely low-jitter, reliable timing solutions for fast data transmission via Ethernet with data transmission rates up to 100 GBit/s.
The new MEMS oscillators are offered in the 3.2 x 2.5 mm and 7.0 x 5.0 mm standard housings and can be operated at temperatures between -40°C and +85°C. Both the SiT9365 designed for 32 standard frequencies (25-325 MHz) and the SiT9366 with a freely programmable output frequency (1-220 MHz) are available with the 156.25 MHz frequency that is required for many Ethernet applications. The new products have a LVPECL, LVDS or HCSL output stage, depending on the version. Especially low RMS phase jitter of typically 0.23 ps and a high frequency stability of up to ±10 ppm across the entire temperature range are among the outstanding characteristics of both oscillators. These products are therefore ideal for numerous networking, communication, server and storage applications.
Like all of SiTime’s Elite Platform™ differential MEMS oscillators, the SiT9365 and SiT9366 have a high level of immunity against impacts, vibrations and other interference. The key feature of their DualMEMS™ architecture is a second MEMS resonator that is used as a temperature sensor. High stability of the output frequency can therefore be assured, even in case of strong airflows and fast temperature changes.
