Florida is a family of carrier-boards for the Miami SOM to guarantee a quick and hassle-free start of system development and prototyping.

Florida MED

The first member of the Florida family is a board with specific ECG/EEG/EMG measurement circuits on board, making it an ideal platform for medical prototyping.

All available I/O can be routed to a general purpose connector. The routing, type of I/O (e.g. TTL, LVDS, CMOS, …) and supply voltages can easily be configured on the Miami SoM module

Florida GEN

To provide optimum flexibility during prototyping our general purpose carrier board offers a complete set of interfaces, such as Gigabit Ethernet, video, CAN, RS422/485, SATA3, motor drive, WiFi, etc.

Typical application areas for this board are:

  • Embedded processing system
  • Dual-axis motion control
  • Fieldbus connected industrial control
  • Vision applications

Florida PCI

The PCI-Express board enables seamless integration of the Miami SoM with a standard PC proving an FPGA based co-processor with very high processing power. The SATA2 interface on the board allows attachment of local storage capacity.

Typical applications: are:

  • Application acceleration (GPU style processing)
  • Rapid prototyping
  • Embedded PC integration
