In many technical areas of application in electronics, such as telecommunications, media technology, automobile, railway and ship engineering, guidance and control technology and in general mechanical engineering, embedded PCs are being used more and more. Unlike in conventional computers, only the components are integrated into the system for these PCs which are also required for the corresponding application. This means that an embedded PC can often be operated without fans due to the minimal power consumption. For this purpose, effective immediately, Fischer Elektronik is offering its customers a newly developed housing for embedded PCs which are identified with a modern design with practical and functional properties. The new, one-sided, U-shaped aluminium housing profiles have integrated, external cooling ribs for better heat conduction, interior guide ducts for slidable square nuts or threaded strips which allow attachment of the mainboard printed circuit board using length-variable spacing bolts. In addition, the lateral guide grooves integrated also into the strand profile also guarantee the acceptance of non-standardised circuit boards, electronics components or assembly plates. A 2 mm thick floor plate as well as front ceiling plates adapted to the profile contour round out this sturdy and resistant housing structure. Models with a special clamp attachment for assembly on rails for assembly in on the support rails according to DIN EN 50022 or with screwed-on attachment straps, for wall and ceiling assembly, are also offered. The embedded PC housings are available by default in three different surface models (natural colour anodised, black anodised or a combination). Additional mechanical processing, surface treatments and labelling are implemented by customer request.
