3. Anyone who posts a photo of embedded world 2024 on Instagram during the raffle period mentioned in point 2, tags @embedded_world_official and @embedded_next_gen and uses the hashtag #myew24shirt will automatically be entered into the raffle.

Conditions of participation - Instagram competition

1. The competition is in no way connected to Instagram and is in no way sponsored, supported or organized by Instagram. The recipient of the information provided by the participant is not Instagram, but NürnbergMesse GmbH, Messezentrum, 90471 Nuremberg, Germany, as the operator of the embedded world Instagram account (in short: "organizer"). The information provided will be used solely for the competition.

Participation in the competition is only possible under the conditions listed here. By participating, the participant expressly acknowledges these conditions of participation. The organizer reserves the right to cancel or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice and without giving reasons.

2. The competition begins on 08.04.2024 at the time of our announcement post for the competition and ends on 10.04.2024 at 14:00.

3. One of twenty exclusive embedded world shirts worth EUR 7.57 can be won in the prize draw. The prize will be drawn during the period mentioned in point 2 and can only be collected on site on the second day of embedded world 2024 (10.04.2024) from 16:00 after the winners have been announced or on the entire third day of the trade fair (11.04.2024) at the worldwide stand (Hall 3 Stand 3-651) during opening hours (10.04.2024: 9:00 - 18:00 h, 11.04.2024: 9:00 - 17:00 h).

Each participant in a prize draw may enter once and receive only one prize.

4. Anyone who posts a photo of embedded world 2024 on Instagram, tags @embedded_world_official and @embedded_next_gen and uses the hashtag #myew24shirt during the prize draw period mentioned in point 2 will automatically be entered into the prize draw.

Participation in the competition is not dependent on an order or the use of a service from the organizer, nor on the release of the participant's data for marketing purposes. Each participant has the same chance of winning.

Participation in the competition is free of charge. However, if competitions are offered online, the participant must have an Internet connection to connect to the relevant website. The costs incurred for this shall be borne by the participant. If the participant withdraws their Like or deletes their entry, they will no longer be entered into the competition.

Any natural person aged 18 or over (worldwide) is entitled to participate in the competition. Employees of the organizer and their relatives, all service providers and partners of the organizer and all other persons involved in the conception and implementation of the competition are excluded. Participation via competition clubs and automated services is excluded. By participating, the participant assures that the requirements for eligibility to participate are met and agrees to these conditions of participation.

5. a. Comments that violate the Instagram guidelines and/or the organizer's netiquette will be removed without notice. The participant is thus excluded from the prize draw.

5. b. The participant indemnifies the organizer against all claims on first demand that other users or other third parties assert against the organizer due to the infringement of their rights by the content posted by the participant or due to other use of the app.

5. c. The participant shall also assume the necessary costs of legal defense (lawyer's fees and court costs) from the organizer.

5. d. In addition, the participant undertakes to provide the organizer immediately, truthfully and completely with all information necessary for the examination of the claims and a defense in the event of a claim by third parties.

6. After the end of the respective implementation period, a random draw of the winners will take place for each individual prize draw day, excluding the public. Participation in the prize draw requires full participation in accordance with No. 4 of the conditions of participation for this prize draw.

7. The winners will be announced on 10.04.2024 via the Instagram channels and additionally informed via Instagram via direct message. The prize can only be collected on site on the second day of embedded world 2024 (10.04.2024) from 16:00 after the winners have been announced or on the entire third day of the trade fair (11.04.2024) at the worldwide stand (Hall 3 Stand 3-651) during opening hours (10.04.2024: 9:00 - 18:00 h, 11.04.2024: 9:00 - 17:00 h).

8. Insofar as personal data is collected from participants as part of the competition, this will be collected, processed and used by the organizer exclusively for the purpose of running the competition and deleted after the end of the competition. The participant expressly agrees to being publicly named and tagged (pinned comment) on Instagram in the event of winning. The participant can revoke this consent at any time by letter, fax or e-mail. The participant is responsible for the correctness and completeness of the data submitted.

9. The personal data of participants will be used and collected by the organizer in compliance with data protection regulations.

Consent can be revoked at any time by deleting the corresponding entry. In this case, the participant also declares that they will no longer take part in the competition.

10. Cash payment of prizes is not possible. Prize claims cannot be transferred or assigned to other persons. Legal recourse is excluded. Should individual provisions of the conditions of participation be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining conditions of participation. They shall be replaced by an appropriate provision that comes closest to the purpose of the invalid provision. The organizer reserves the right to change the conditions of participation at any time.

1. Processing of your personal data in the context of the competition

We process your personal data for the proper execution and handling of the competition and in particular for sending the prize.

The profile name and, if available, the first and last name of the respective participant will be collected and stored in order to carry out the competition.

Your data will not be passed on to third parties beyond this.

The legal basis for this processing of your personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 letter b EU-GDPR (implementation of pre-contractual measures and fulfillment of a contract).

If we publish the first name and surname of the winner(s) separately on our profile or our fan page or announce them externally, for example in our online store, this will only be done with the prior express consent of the winner(s) in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 letter a EU-GDPR.

 

2. Storage duration

After the end of the competition, your personal data processed as part of the competition will be deleted no later than three months after the end of the competition, unless you have given your effective consent for further processing and/or we have no legitimate interest in further storage.

The applicable data protection law grants you the data subject rights listed below if the respective legal requirements are met:
