Analysts estimate that 70% of all wireless devices will soon be “eSIM-only/first”, marking an inflection point for the IoT sector. eSIMs eliminate the need for manual SIM-swapping, country-specific SKUs, and carrier-specific provisioning, all while significantly enhancing security. SGP.32 sets the basic spec, SGP.41 will enable consumer platform switching, and convergence for eSIM, iSIM, and Cloud SIM are on the way!
