The BMV080 can be easily integrated into ultra-compact Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart home and smart building systems, delivering air quality notifications when PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 levels rise above a certain threshold. This enables residents or home automation systems to take immediate action, such as ventilating, switching on an exhaust fan, or activating a filter to clear the air. With this new sensor, people can take control of their indoor air quality and make informed decisions to protect their health.
The BMV080 sensing element measures merely 4.4 x 3.0 x 3.0 mm3 (W x L x H), which is more than 450 times smaller in volume than any comparable device on the market. Its miniscule size and fanless, non-intrusive design of the BMV080 are a game-changer. Additionally, its noiseless operation means it does not disturb residents who may be sleeping or working.
Traditional PM sensors often impose design limitations due to their size, inlets or channels needed. The BMV080 addresses these challenges, as Its design requires no inlets or channels, offering unmatched industrial design flexibility that supports integration into stylish, ultra-compact devices without compromising performance.
The new sensor is maintenance-free with no fan-induced dust buildup, making it more reliable, and less prone to malfunction. It is a natural fit for ultra-compact (IoT) devices such as air quality monitors, smart thermostats, HVAC & air ventilation systems, smart air purifiers, and wearables to monitor local PM mass concentration in real-time to provide actionable data. The BMV080 features an innovative design based on VCSEL technology and applies sophisticated algorithms to measure the PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 mass concentration directly in free space, without requiring a fan.

In a significant leap forward, Cadence has successfully prototyped, designed, and taped out the industry's first base system chiplet. This chiplet integrates processors, system IP, and memory IP within a single package, interconnected through the Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express™(UCIe™) standard interface. Developed with Arm, the chiplet complies with Arm's Chiplet System Architecture (CSA), a standard that ensures interoperability and speeds time-to-market for chiplets.
A base system chiplet includes functionality to manage the resources and functionality of the overall multi-chiplet SoC. Featuring components such as a system processor, safety management processor, Cadence controllers, and Cadence PHY IP for LPDDR5 and UCIe, the chiplet is a testament to Cadence's innovation. Using Cadence Janus NoC technology, the chiplet accommodates up to 64GB/s peak bandwidth for UCIe IP and 32GB/s peak memory bandwidth for LPDDR5 IP.
This is the industry’s first base system chiplet. As such, there is currently no competition. However, the Cadence Base System Chiplet will be instrumental in creating a chiplet ecosystem, enabling the integration of multiple chiplets into a single package. By leveraging the standards-based UCIe interface, bidirectional high-speed data communication between multiple chiplets is possible.

It offers 4.2 Mbytes of contiguous embedded RAM, complemented by high-speed external memory interfaces (hexa-SPI, OCTOSPI, FMC), and also embeds our NeoChrom GPU, an H.264 encoder, and a JPEG encoder and decoder.
The STM32N6 is the first microcontroller to combine an Image Signal Processor (ISP) with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU), making it a standout choice for computer vision tasks. Its 4.2 Mbytes of internal RAM enhances performance for both AI and graphics.
Combined with the NeoChrom accelerator, it offers the most advanced graphics capabilities in the STM32 series. This microcontroller provides an excellent price-toperformance ratio and impressive power efficiency, delivering an experience similar to more complex microprocessors but at a fraction of the cost and complexity.
