CAN in Automation (CiA) is the international users' and manufacturers' group for CAN (Controller Area Network), established in March 1992, and located in Nuremberg, Germany. The aim is to provide an unbiased platform for further developments of CAN, to promote the image of CAN, and to assist users of all three generations of CAN (CAN CC, CAN FD, CAN XL).The CiA members develop jointly specifications for various CAN application fields and support actively the international standardization of CAN-based solutions.The nonprofit association offers seminars and conferences for sharing of knowledge and experience.
