Technica Engineering developed ANDi (Automotive Network Diagnoser), an all-in-one testing tool for Automotive Ethernet ECUs.
ANDi provided the first Automotive Ethernet residual-bus simulator (RBS) on the market, and it is characterized for its great adaptability (the customer can add its own databases and bind external libraries), flexibility (different technologies such as CAN, FlexRay or LIN are also available) and ease of use.
Our software ANDi carries out three main functions: ANDi acts as a traffic generator (it accepts any protocol and standard traffic type and supports CAN); as a traffic viewer (it’s able to capture and decode effectively all automotive traffic); and as a scripting tool (powerful and customizable RBS and capable of test automation).
This combination offers the customer an affordable, flexible and multiple-purpose solution, which can be seamlessly used with other Technica Engineering products.
Available Technica’s products expand the scope of ANDi’s functionalities. ANDi Observer, analyzes and validates the capture traffic. ANDi Ethernet Test Suite is the most field-proven component test solution to ensure proper implementation of SOME/IP and related automotive protocols.

At Technica Engineering, we have been developing Automotive Ethernet solutions since 2008. We have been assisting global automobile manufacturers and suppliers, such as BMW, Audi, Continental and Bosch, with development and testing projects for the validation of vehicle technology systems.

From this combination, we’ve developed, for more than a decade, innovative products that have achieved the best market performance and conformance. Some hardware examples are our MediaGateway, 1000BASE-T1 MediaConverter, or 100BASE-T1 Media Converter EMC, which combined with our main software, ANDi (Automotive Network Diagnoser), provide the customer the ideal testing equipment combination.
In close cooperation with our customers, our Research and Development department develops tailored solutions that are innovative, reliable and flexible. As pioneers in innovation in Automotive Ethernet, we’ve come up with a unique solution for the support of the most relevant in-vehicle communication: The Capture Modules. Through AVB/TSN compatibility and a modular and scalable system, Technica’s Capture Modules are the ideal testing tool for today’s self-driving prototype test cars. Using 802.1AS, the time synchronization within the Capture Module is ensured, and all captured traffic is provided in layer II MAC frames via the PLP protocol, making Ethernet the ideal logging network. They provide time aware injection and, to adapt to customers’ needs, Capture Modules are offered in different bus systems, such as CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet, 100BASE-T1,1000BASE-T1, FlexRay, RS232 and analogue.
