Safe for the Future – Qualification of Complex Solutions
With the 737 MAX, the Boeing company delivered an aircraft that should not have been released. An autonomous vehicle of the company Uber is involved in a fatal accident because the software was faulty. Embedded systems are taking over more and more complex control tasks that were previously left to humans - not always with good results.
Following the great success of the event in recent years, the panel discussion "Safe for the Future" will enter the next round on the third day of the embedded world Exhibition & Conference 2020, 27 February 2020. Under the motto "Safe for the Future - Qualification of Complex Solutions", questions and topics will be discussed, adressing the safety and security of complex and increasingly networked embedded systems.
Together with Rudolf Grave, Chief Expert Product System Architecture at Elektrobit, Dr. Josef Haid, Lead Principal embedded Security at Infineon and Holger Lange, Expert Safety Standards at DKE/VDE, Prof. Fromm, Member of the embedded world Conference Steering Board, will discuss current challenges in the development of safe systems in the era of rapidly increasing embedded functionality, complexity and growing "time to market" pressure.
Can safety, costs and functional complexity be reconciled or is technology increasingly losing its innocence?
