Session 11 II - Securing Embedded Devices II

Navigating the Forest of Security Certifications Vortragssprache Englisch

In these times of heightened threats to your company’s data, manufacturers need to develop systems that not only meet their customers’ requirements but also meet globally recognised security standards. The need for compliance with the latest European Regulations (GDPR) means that choosing the right protection measures with sufficient verification has never been more important. To build security solutions that best meet your customers’ needs, you must navigate a confusing ‘forest’ of certifications which are issued by an array of organisations worldwide. So where do today’s system builders begin to make sense of the many options available? Some of the options that will be discussed in this session include FIPS, Common Criteria, OPAL, CPA and CAPS. Delegates will gain an understanding of some of the main security certifications available to enable them to make an informed choice when specifying secure storage for embedded solutions.
