IoT Ready Self-Powered Sensor Platform Using Ultra Low Power Wireless Wakeup Technology
Endiio is a system house that develops and sells unique end-to-end realtime & low power senor platform for Internet of Things applications. Many wireless sensor systems are faced with a major challenge - THE POWER CONSUMPTION! Depending are life span, real-time capability, maintenance, range, robustness and mesh network capability. Today's technologies can cover only some of these aspects more or less. The innovation of endiio based on a novel and patented wireless technology (US+EU). Through a unique 'wake-up strategy' sensors operate with hardly any energy consumption in 'active mode'. Sensors communicate their information 100% in real-time mode and need 10,000 less energy than state of the art systems. Thus, hundred thousands of sensors communicate robust, easily, efficient, maintenance-free (no wires, increase battery life time) and independent of standards and manufacturers. Endiio provides a unique combination of comprehensive solutions for energy harvesting, real-time wireless communication and cloud-based data analysis. With the endiio platform consisting of wireless modules (sub-GHz ISM-Band), sensor platforms and a gateway, realisation of IoT applications become easy and opens the door to a world of low-energy, maintenance-free, secure and reliable communication technology. Due to reduced energy consumption, a longer device lifespan and the possibility of unlimited distance coverage in networks, endiio helps to drastically reduce costs. The sensor platform is compatible with off the shelf digital and analog sensors and includes an energy management for energy harvesting and energy storage. On the gateway predefined applications can be adapted or new applications can be easily developed using the script environment for Python. With the patented wake-up technology endiio is able to reduce power consumption of wireless sensors to less than 3µA without compromising on the availability. The wireless module uses the patented (US+EU) wake-up wireless technology, which rouses tens of thousands of sleeping sensors so they can collect measurement data in star or multi-hop topology on demand. This makes the system 100% available and 10,000 times more energy efficient than conventional wireless solutions. The wireless sensors are supplied with energy from the interior-use solar cell and can even be operated in poor light conditions. A minimum of 50 Lux is required. With an ambient light less than 50 Lux, several decades of operating time can be ensured using an integrated energy buffer (1000mAh).
