IoT Integration in Machines and Production Lines Made Easy
The implementation of machines and production facilities as described with the reference architecture model Industrie 4.0 (RAMI 4.0) or the parallel IoT development with their Industrial Internet Reference Architecture (IIRA) is now being implemented by the first companies. According to the lack of knowledge the most firms were not able to start until now. The presentation is intended to counteract this fact. At the beginning an introduction of communication strategies will lead within a very short time to an understanding of the possibilities of these approaches. Based on this, the presentation shows how easy it is to derive a service-oriented architecture for new machines, or to adapt it onto already existing machines. These functions are further deepened by means of examples which show how easy and efficient new machines can be developed. From the point of view of the machine, the presentation now turns back to the layering models of a production. Here the various tasks in the Office and Shop floor are shown. Application examples, as they are already used in reality, are intended to deepen this understanding. Finally, we want to show that not only the relevant 'Big Players' are needed for the implementation of machines and production plants, but at the same time the SME’s and the customer plays a key role.
