Agile for Safety Critical Systems: Evidence-Oriented Practices
Agile methods have a reputation for being fast and adaptive and they can enhance both quality and team productivity. However, the rigorous needs of safety critical systems development have not been addressed by agile methods – until now. In this webcast, IBM Rational Chief Evangelist, Bruce Powel Douglass discusses the implementation of design-related agile practices to safety-critical development. The practices include Planning for Certification, Managing Traceability Records, Requirements-Based Verification, and Test Coverage analysis. Dr. Douglass will explain each of these practices and how they fit into an agile lifecycle that can be used to develop safety-critical systems.
