Agile for Safety Critical Systems: Design Practices
Agile methods have a reputation for being fast and adaptive and they can enhance both quality and team productivity. However, the rigorous needs of safety critical systems development have not been addressed by agile methods - until now. In this webcast, IBM Watson IoT Chief Evangelist, Bruce Powel Douglass discusses the implementation of design-related agile practices to safety-critical development. The practices include High-Fidelity Model-Based Engineering, 5 Key views of Architecture, Defensive Design and Continuous Safety Assessment. Dr. Douglass will explain each of these practices and how they fit into an agile lifecycle that can be used to develop safety-critical systems.
