A Bottom-Up Approach for IoT Security
The world becomes connected and every day the number of things connected to the network increases. Today, no one doubts the need to ensure the cyber security of the Internet of Things. But what is the Internet of Things? IoT is not just smart devices connected to the network, it is also protocols and data transmission channels, network infrastructure, cloud storage and data processing, control and visualization systems. In other words, the Internet of Things is a whole complex and its security depends on the security of each and every of these elements. At the same time, it is necessary to understand that unlike the corporate computer network, to add cyber security to the already ready IoT solution is rather difficult, and often impossible. Accordingly, it is necessary to approach the issue of ensuring cyber security very seriously from the very beginning. The presentation examines the threats and possible attacks for each of the IoT elements, and also suggests the cyber security measures and solutions for IoT cyber security.
