uFR Online Series
What is µFR Online?
µFR Online is a series of NFC Readers which combines benefits of D-Logic’s rich feature and easy to use API with comfort and ease of use of well-known ESP32 microcontroller.
NFC Reader models
µFR Nano Online - NFC Reader/Writer based on our best selling device µFR Nano. Now it is combined with ESP32 add-on hardware, which provides Wifi, BLE & Ethernet connectivity to µFR Nano reader.
That makes a whole new product in single small form factor housing: NFC reader writer with USB, BLE, Wifi & Ethernet connectivity.
Future members of this product family will use the same design considerations and approach, keeping their distinguished features and form factors.
We can proudly announce the whole family of uFR Online series products will be ready for the market by the end of 2019.
Why we made it?
So far, connectivity options of NFC hardware were limited to serial or USB connection. Demands for background knowledge for successful implementation were huge, due access to low level API’s for hardware communication. Our API raises implementation to higher lever with no need for knowledge of accessing low level hardware layers and API. Still, limitations are hardware connections like USB and/or various serial options, like RS232 or RS485.
What are the real benefits?
Complete feature set of D-Logic’s SDK and API is still present and available with this device. Clients who already use our devices can continue to use new device and develop with no changes in code, while new API set related to network connectivity is intuitive and easy to implement.
SDK and API are cross platform and can be used on most major operating systems and popular hardware platforms as well.
One of the main innovations is introducing ESP32 in the scenario, so users can now write their own code for ESP32 in Arduino-like IDE and make fully standalone working device, which can act autonomously. Now all this is feasible in single and compact device as “µFR Nano Online”.
What about API?
D-Logic’s advanced API has a lot of features, introduces ease of use of standard encryption algorithms for communication with various NFC card types, like AES128, DES/3DES, RSA and ECC. That gives many advantages by providing functions for simple use and implementation of Digital Signatures.
Is there any SDK?
SDK is rich, well documented, and contains many software examples. All examples are accompanied with a source code, so you can use them freely in your projects.
We are constantly improving our SDK by adding new features, upgrades and new software examples, always trying to preserve backward compatibility with previous versions.
Best of all: it is absolutely FREE.
Bottom line, this product with accompanying API makes programmer’s and developer’s job much easier, even in complex projects.
