Under the Ixxat brand, HMS offers hardware and software tools for testing and developing data communication solutions for automobiles and test benches.
Based on the hardware platforms FRC-EP 190 and FRC-EP 170 – both with a high-performance microcontroller system, real time Linux OS and a multitude of interfaces for CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay, LIN, EtherCAT, Ethernet and many more – and the ACT configuration tool, HMS offers a proven solution for testing automotive bus systems and devices.
This makes it very easy to implement logger and visualization applications as well as complex RBS and gateway applications – cost-effectively and without programming effort. If the integrated functions should not be sufficient, the configuration can be extended easily and quickly with the help of Matlab/Simulink and C-User code. Customer-specific functions and applications can be easily implemented by the customer himself based on the Linux operating system and the software development kit included free of charge.
PC interfaces, repeaters and bridges
Ixxat PC interfaces for CAN, CAN FD and LIN are used in a wide variety of applications, whether in test benches for connecting the devices to be tested to the test computers or as control interfaces in production or handling systems. Drivers for Windows, Linux and various real-time operating systems are available free of charge for connection of the PC interface to the customer application.
Ixxat repeaters and bridges enable the galvanic decoupling of components, the conversion between different baud rates and standards (e.g. CAN to CAN FD) as well as the transmission of CAN(FD) over longer distances via Ethernet. In addition, MQTT can be used to transmit data to the Internet and to make it accessible on mobile devices.
