LoRa® Gateway with integrated LTE mobile radio standard
The Sentrius™ RG186 LoRa® Gateway from Laird was integrated by m2m Germany with the mobile radio standard LTE. In principle, the gateway offers secure, scalable and robust LoRa solutions for end-to-end control of a private LoRaWAN network. The LTE integration eliminates the geographical puzzle that previously led to the establishment of a LoRa network. By combining LTE and LoRa, companies do not have to limit their Enterprise IoT (EIoT) to geographical locations, but can deploy LoRaWAN networks even in the most remote locations.
The basic features of Laird's RG186 are all retained, including dual-band WLAN, BT v4.0 (BLE and Classic) and wired Ethernet. Based on the Semtech SX1301/SX1257 chipset design, the gateway achieves a LoRa range of up to approximately 16 kilometers. The pre-installed LoRa Packet Forwarder software is designed for highly scalable, flexible IoT networks. The use of certified LoRa + BLE modules ensures simple and immediately usable integration.
It is compatible with all LoRaWAN® certified client devices and has a cloud ready function. The gateway with LTE functionality is currently available as a pure outdoor gateway in an IP76 housing and is only available exclusively from m2m Germany.
