Zero Footprint Socket
HSIO Technologies and Ironwood Electronics Distribution EMC- announce that development, production, service and sale of the HSIO test socket has been completed by Ironwood. Ironwood is an excellent addition to its already wide range of sockets for another important line. The well-known and proven Grypper socket is therefore immediately available from EMC.
Ironwood Electronics is already working on the next generation socket to meet the growing demand for signal integrity and interconnect density. Current sockets for eMMC, UFS, DDR and LPDDR will be shown on the embedded show for the first time. The sockets are available as zero footprint sockets without hold down lid, allowing for testing of BGAs on the original board. The test piece is simply clicked into the socket. For LGAs, the near zero footprint line is available. Here LGAs, BGAs and small balls are held by a lid.
