An error has occurred.

A lightweight compact logger, used to measure EEG signals of small animals in the field of Behavioural Research.
A recorder with a total weight of only 2.5 gram had to be developed with the following:
  •  4 electrodes
  •   500 samples/s per electrode for 36 hours
  •   Storage of the collected data on the equipment in a Flash memory
  •   IR-Receiver for the synchronisation of the EEG signals with special external events
  •   2 zinc air (hearing aids) batteries with 100 mAh with 1.4 V.
Due to the limited development budget and the small quantities involved the system design was conducted without the use of aggressive miniaturization techniques. The desired objective was realised by the skilful use of classical SMD components with the only concession to the weight restriction being a 3 layer rigid flex with an asymmetric structure.

Art of Technology developed the hard ware and software for the device and accompanied the manufacturing of several hundred pieces on behalf of the customer.
