The NISE 3900 fanless box embedded computer by Nexcom is the latest product in this product line and ideal for controlling all processes in production or functioning as a gateway. Based on the 8th generation Intel® Core™ processor, the NISE 3900 is at the forefront of its class in terms of performance. Compared to the previous platform, the 8th generation processor significantly increases computing power and graphics performance. In addition, the processor has an extremely low power consumption. The robust design with aluminium chassis enables the NISE 3900 to operate even at temperatures of -20° to 60° Celsius without any problems.

Modern integrated cloud-enabled services such as remote management, analysis of large amounts of data, machine learning and business intelligence (BI) serve to optimize the operating and production processes. For example, they enable remote monitoring or exception management to enable advanced process controls.

For example, operators can detect and avoid expensive breakdowns in advance by monitoring machines in real time. Real-time monitoring of factory operations and the integration of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and manufacturing systems (MES) to optimize supply chain management are further measures that transform a factory into a 21st century "smart factory". Many processes and procedures, which until recently required a high level of attention and resources, can now be automated.

Based on real-time field data, large amounts of data analysis and machine learning can be used to create models that help operators manage factory operations to identify causes of abnormal conditions and take corrective action. Using "preventive" maintenance, wear parts can be replaced before an imminent failure to ensure consistent production efficiency and yield rates.
