The first full-color 13.3" display based on E Ink’s ACeP™ technology is available at Beck Elektronik. The display with extended color gamut is constructed in such a way that all necessary color pigments are placed in the electrophoretic liquid in every single pixel of the display. The four basic colors (cyan, magenta, yellow and white) generate eight primary colors and allow production of over 32.000 colors. The 13.3” display AC133UT1 has the resolution of 1600x1200 pixels.
The power consumption still remains extremely low, since the image buildup happens with the help of different voltages, which reorient the color pigments in the micro-capsules and then stay stable until the next image change. The update time is around 25 seconds per picture.
Like its monochrome predecessor, the display has an 8-bit TTL interface. Since the algorithms of the color display are highly complex, a special EPD microcontroller is used to manage it. The driving board T1000 is offered in combination with the display.
The second ACeP™ panel with the diagonal 26.6" is expected by the middle of 2020.
The operational temperature is +15°C to +35°C. This feature makes the display useful for in-door application as advertising screens or consumer electronics. The ready solution with 13.3” ACeP panel in the plastic housing and WLAN connection will be demonstrated at the booth.
