Silicon Radar develops and sells highly integrated millimeter-wave circuits (MMICs) at the highest technological level, manufactured in the low-cost silicon germanium technology (SiGe) of the IHP Frankfurt (Oder) / Germany. Silicon Radar is your partner for standard components as well as custom ASICs in the frequency range from 10 GHz (X-band) to 300 GHz and beyond.

Our high-frequency circuits are used in radar solutions, phased array systems and wireless communication applications. Our flagship - a radar frontend with a 120 GHz chip - has impressive possibilities. With a size of only 8 x 8 mm², including the chip and antennas, the front end is one of the smallest on the market, yet very precise, fast, light and anything but expensive.

Obstacle detection and collision avoidance e.g. when using drones or various robots, but also the gesture recognition on small displays (HMI) are just three areas of application, where our 120-GHz radar front end can be used.

Silicon Radar is a spin-off from the IHP - Leibniz Institute for Innovative Microelectronics and is headquartered in Frankfurt (Oder) / Germany. Launched as a two-man operation, we have grown steadily over the last 10 years and currently employ more than 34 people from seven countries. Silicon Radar - these are highly qualified employees with years of experience in the development of high-frequency circuits combined with the innovative SiGe technology of the IHP Frankfurt (Oder) / Germany, which offers the possibilities of low-cost manufacturing of a CMOS process with high-performance properties.
