INtime® Distributed RTOS is a scalable real-time OS that enables programmers to write applications that can be run on different processor configurations, using one or multiple CPU cores, on one or multiple computing platforms. With INtime® Distributed RTOS, embedded system hardware can be scaled to meet the cost/performance goals of the OEM product, without requiring changes to the software. This is made possible with the concept of global embedded objects and an underlying network called GOBSnet (Global Objects network) which facilitates real-time driven inter processor communication.
In combination with INtime for Windows software designers can build on a distributed real-time architecture allowing for centralized HMI functions as well as pure scalable real-time performance. There is high flexibility in choosing where the critical processing needs to happen.
