Designed to provide high reliability, high performance and large capacity storage for demanding enterprise and Internet datacenter applications, G-card® combines Greenliant’s advanced NVMe PCIe controller and an array of small form factor NANDrive™ solid state storage devices, in a standard add-in card (AIC) format. This innovative architecture supports Concurrent Read / Write operations with sustainable low latency, giving users a consistent performance experience. Being NVMe compliant, G-card is bootable on multiple operating systems.
Using 2-bits-per-cell (MLC) NAND flash, equipped with intelligent error management algorithms that substantially improve the system-level endurance far beyond that of the NAND component, G-card offers modern datacenters a cost-effective and highly reliable tier-one primary storage solution.
Constructed with Greenliant’s volume proven NANDrive device as the basic building block for the storage medium, G-card offers the highest reliability and rich functionality, as each individual NANDrive is equipped with its own NAND controller that manages the NAND flash memory, improves endurance and accurately estimates the remaining life of the NAND flash memory.
In addition to the error correction code (ECC) engine inside each NANDrive, G-card is equipped with built-in hardware RAID by organizing the NANDrive array in RAID groups to provide a much higher level of protection against uncorrectable errors (UNC).
With an intelligent power interrupt data protection circuit for the on-board dynamic data rate (DDR) buffer memory, G-card can commit host write operations without risk of data loss.
G-card products surpass traditional storage in their high performance and are ideal for I/O intensive applications that require ultra low-latency, large capacity data storage in a PCIe form factor. For added flexibility, G-card user capacity can be configured depending on the application’s performance and capacity requirements.
G-card provides a sustained, predictable performance experience to cloud computing, server virtualization and big data with a lifetime endurance up to 10 Drive Writes Per Day (DWPD) for 5 years. It demonstrates less than 10% reduction in performance at the end of product life.
