In railway environments, LTE operation is a challenge – even with just one LTE connection. There has to be sufficient bandwidth and availability for different applications, a fast data pass-on to the network video recorder, reliable real-time surveillance - and many different communication tasks run in parallel thereto. Wit Moxa´s multiple WAN gateway for reliable train-to-ground communication, all of these tasks can easily be handled. 4 mini PCIe slots for high-speed wireless, up to 2 slots for Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/ac, and up to 4 slots for 4G LTE maximize the availability of wireless network connectivity. Moreover, it supports up to 8 SIMs, and its dual-SIM-single-modem design supports the redundancy of SIMs on each cellular module. The gateway is fanless and designed for -40 to 70°C operating temperature, with a low power consumption of less than 45 W when operated with two Wi-Fi and one 4G LTE, and wide range isolated power input, from 24VDC to 110VDC.
