The VisionCam XM offers a versatile, programmable camera at an attractive price-performance ratio. The main processor is a dual core ARM-Cortex A15 that can be supported by a dual core DSP accelerator, if necessary. Thanks to the up to four cores Cortex-A15/C66x, there is no need to switch to a separate VisionBox, even if algorithms become more complex.
Linux is the standard operating system, however we can provide the hard real-time OS SYS/BIOS, too. Different sensors in color and monochrome enable the best choice between resolution and speed, whether used for area or line scan.
As a USP, IMAGO offers Ethernet fieldbus to complement the communication via digital I/Os, serial interface and Ethernet. Like in the AGE-X, an integrated LED Controller supplies strobe current to either internal ring light or external light heads. Programming in C++ or other programming languages will quickly result in an intelligent camera specific to the application.
