Ultra Wideband (UWB)
As defined by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), ultra wideband (UWB) is a broadband signal in the frequency range between 3.1 GHz and 10.6 GHz. This is especially important for WLAN technology because UWB offers a higher transmission speed than the traditional 802.11 technology.
