h2n-stormsensor is a digital weather station. Its using latest Franklin sensor technology to detect upcoming thunderstorms early. It senses temperature, barometric pressure and variance of electric fields caused by stroke of lightning precisely. Using this device thunderstorms and lightning can be forecast with a higher accuracy by means of strength and geographical progression and within a significant shorter period of notice, too. The weatherproof Class IP 54 housing allows easy mount on outside walls.
This enables the creation of extremely accurate forecasts and automatic countersteering with existing actors. Also warning signals and messages can be distributed in time to avoid damage on persons, buildings and other objects.
Typical applications are thunderstorm warnings for terrace and garden restaurants, golf courses, schools and open air pools as well as automatic closing of doors, windows, blinds and awnings when storms are approaching.
