CODESYS Safety offers DIN IEC 61508 safety software for different areas of application. Device manufacturers use CODESYS Safety SIL2 to turn embedded systems into safety controllers for the application in mobile machines for example. CODESYS Safety for SIL3 offers the right solution for device manufacturers wanting to certify their products for SIL3 applications. Both CODESYS Safety products make it much easier to have intelligent safety systems certified. CODESYS Safety for EtherCAT Safety Module is the third safety solution offered by 3S-Smart Software Solutions. Without having to develop their own safety controller users and device manufacturers can engineer a full-fledged SIL3 safety applications in an EtherCAT network on the basis of a ready-certified EtherCAT safety module. The safety functionality is developed and implemented directly in the CODESYS Development System with the appropriate IEC 61131-3 editors and specific add-ons for the different safety levels.
