The two-head 3D HD remote head camera sinaCAM from Solectrix with its weight of just 1,384 grams and its real-time synchronous 3D recording has already left its mark on the high-end professional camera market. That is why it is being used at locations where it is necessary to produce a film under extreme conditions and with little room in an extremely high quality in a digital way.
Its developers, the Nuremberg-based image processing specialists of Solectrix GmbH and the sensor technology specialists of the Freising-based company Anadicon, have since developed the little 2D sister of this compact wonder camera at the IBC in Amsterdam – the sinaCAM LT (www.sinaCAM.eu). The 2D sinaCAM basic caters especially to the needs of broadcast crews and has been designed for use with OB vehicles. It sets new standards in the 'regular' 2D broadcast market regarding its light weight and flexibility with an excellent color reproduction and a maximum image processing performance, but also regarding its technical integration. It is a simple plug-and-play camera that can be connected with the Standard Sony remote control panel of the OB vehicle and all its important functions can be controlled from there.
The technical strengths of the 3D sinaCAM were transferred to the 2D sinaCAM LT. Both cameras work with a 2/3" CCD sensor and offer up to 60 frames per second in real time (FPS) in full HD resolution (1920x1080). The remote heads can be equipped with all kinds of lenses. Thus, they can be used for macro and wide-angle shots as well as for close-up zooms.
