The nominal voltage for EDLC is 2.7V and 2.8V for Hybrid Supercaps. Both variants offer high power and high energy density.

It has the following features: low internal resistance, high power density, high reliability as well as a wide operating temperature range (-40 ~ +60). Furthermore, the energy density is 100 times higher than the one from an electrolyte capacitor and it also possesses a higher power density over the lithium-ion battery. Samwha produces EDLC with a capacity range of 100 to 3000F with an operating voltage of 2.7V.

Hybrid Capacitors are asymmetric Supercapacitors, using lithium titanate combined with an active carbon based on the EDLC technology as anode. The energy density of the Hybrid Supercaps, showing reduction and oxidation characteristics, is 2.5 times higher than the energy density of the EDLCs showing electrostatic adsorptions-desorption reaction. The Hybrid Supercap system is composed of a capacitor system and a secondary battery system.
Samwha produces Hybrid Supercaps with an absorption capacity of 250 to 7500F at an operating voltage of 2.8V. Moreover, Samwha develops and delivers EDLC modules, being not only exactly tailored to the individual customer´s needs but also developed in cooperation with him- or herself.
