Founded in 1967 by Dr T Nakamura, the company has developed from being the first supplier of calculator VFD displays to the leading manufacturer of CIG driver VFD displays. It is a member of the Noritake Group who specializes in ceramic based products within abrasives, chinaware, materials, furnaces and electronics applications.
In 2009, UK Director Andy Stubbings laid down the basic concept of a new type of display module system. This combines communication and operating languages into a single object oriented language. This feature has been applied to TFT products where the demands for complex functionality requires a quick start capability for customers to develop their applications.
Our customer base includes companies manufacturing products for audio-visual, industrial, point of sale, IT-communication, vending, cooking, amusement gaming, security, transportation, automotive and medical markets.
The major strengths of Noritake Itron are our commitment to satisfy the demands of our customer with innovative, high quality and cost effective products and our strong repeatable performance. Our business constantly adapts to meet the needs of a fluctuating market. 70% of the products manufactured are specifically designed to meet customer requirements with minimum quantities typically 3000 VFD displays or 500 modules per year. 150+ standard products support simple character displays, LCD emulation, advanced graphic and message sign requirements. The Itron SMART TFT products now provide a unique option for customers to develop TFT solutions with 4 display sizes and the option for custom firmware and hardware.
Open for new technologies, Noritake enriched its product range with metallised capacitive touch solution and Capacitive Touch Switches in the last year.
