Production is performed in German based facilities using the most technologically advanced manufacturing processes with a current production capacity greater than 6 million units per year and plans to increase capacity to over 12 million units per year by 2016. In order to insure the highest standards of compatibility and quality of materials, tools, and semi-finished products, all components are subject to a highly stringent incoming goods inspection. In addition, Swissbit commits to precise quality control, internal / external testing and compliance laboratories as well as a ISO-9001:2008 certified quality management system. All Swissbit DRAM modules and Flash storage devices are RoHS and REACH compliant. A streamlined staff structure, direct long term relationships with major semiconductor manufacturers, and efficient processes enable Swissbit to maintain competitive prices. Thus, Swissbit follows the aim to offer their customers the lowest Total Cost of Ownership.
Products: Swissbit offers the complete range of DRAM modules starting from EDO to DDR3 technologies as well as NAND Flash modules like 2.5’’ Solid State Drives (SATA and PATA interfaces), m-SATA SSD (MO-300), slim-SATA SSD (MO-297), CFast, CFC, SD, µSD, MMC and USB. The DRAM memory solutions are available in various application specific form factors (VLP, UDIMM, RDIMM, SODIMM, miniDIMM, SORDIMM and SOCDIMM). All modules can be sealed with Conformal Coating, thus operating reliable 24/7 hours even in areas with high humidity.
Know-how: The unique Swissbit Chip-on-Board technology guarantees extreme mechanical robustness against shock and vibration as well as highest reliability. Additionally, Swissbit manufactures its products using Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Multi Chip Packaging (MCP), Chip Scale Packaging (CSP), Flip-Chip and Multilayer COB processes. The long lasting and profound expertise in memory technology has had considerable influence on important standards and patents in the area of Flash controllers and die stacking.
Industrial requirements: Swissbit products prove their advantages especially in the industrial market. This includes longevity, highest reliability, robustness against shock and vibration, EMC and ESD protection, Life Time Monitoring, fast and secure erase, Zone Protection, an extended temperature range, optional Conformal Coating and all essential industrial interfaces. Another important fact is the long term availability over many years, according to product group, with a fixed bill of material (BOM).
