Opening the IoT with FreeRTOS
The open source, MIT licensed FreeRTOS Kernel has helped embedded developers manage the complexity of their microcontroller designs for 15 years. In this talk, Richard Barry, the founder of the FreeRTOS project, will give an update of the latest developments within the FreeRTOS project, then demonstrate how the FreeRTOS kernel is able to run on processors as diverse as the 8-bit 8051 and the 64-bit Arm Cortex-A53. In this session, you will learn how to run FreeRTOS on the latest TrustZone-M enabled Arm Cortex-M33 microcontrollers and how extensible architectures enable FreeRTOS to run on a range of RISC-V implementations.
