Leveraging an Agnostic Approach to Debugging in Multicore Environments
The complexity of applications is always increasing and to handle the increased workload, multicore devices are becoming more popular. The combination of different architectures, for example Arm Cortex-M/R/A cores and RISC-V RV32/RV64 cores is becoming a more common practice in order to get better performance. These scenarios can range from two cores, up to tens or even hundreds of cores! By using multicore devices it€™s possible to load balance, take advantage of the different strengths of the different architectures, and you might even lower the product cost by using one multicore device rather than multiple devices. But how you can debug all those cores in an efficient way? This seminar will explore the challenges on how to simultaneously debug two or more identical cores ((SMP), and multiple cores with different architectures (AMP), all in one single debug probe interface. This session will guide you to understand and master the deployment of a multicore application.
