Configuration of a Blockchain for Supply Chain Management
The majority of manufacturing companies expect significant, high or very high improvements through the IT integration of their supply chain partners, the majority are planning relevant or high investments in this area. The ability to network with value-added partners has proven to be a significant competitive advantage for most companies. A much-discussed approach to the creation of transparency with regard to value chains is the use of blockchain technology. The aim of this paper is to present a generic and therefore reproducible, scientifically based procedure for the configuration of an industrially applicable blockchain. In particular, it is crucial to find out which scientific preliminary work is necessary for this. The anticipated goal is to be achieved with the research methodology of Ulrich and with the aid of models (Description model, Explanatory model and Design model). A comprehensive morphology of Blockchain technology will be presented.
