Vide splitter is a dedicated device to split DVI and Analog video signals from any source.
It uses DVI-I standard connectors. Dual link resolutions are supported for DVI sources. The same functionality as for DVI video grabber is available as integrated passive video splitter, which means no interruptions on display even when device is turned off.
DVI video splitter is a device, which splits video signal from one source into two outputs.
The input of the device is connected to a source like video cards at PCs. The device has two outputs where one is connected to a main monitor or other type of video sink and the second output to another sink device, which mainly is used for monitoring applications. In other words the device splits the same signal to two monitors without any modifications.
The device can work in active or passive mode.
In the passive mode it can be powered from the DVI power line and not from the dedicated power supply. The power line can come from the source or from the sink video device.
If the external device connected at source or sink cannot together supply the device with at least 500mA@5V it would not work. In the passive mode it is guaranteed that if properly powered from the DVI cable power line then the video signal will come properly from the input to the output 1.
I2C communication lines are connected only from input to output 1, marked as DDC on the connector description. This means that output 1 should be used as default output and output 2 as an auxiliary output.
On the back side, where connectors are placed there is also one green led to inform about the fact of power supply being connected.
The device does not have any CPU and does not need to be upgraded in software terms.

Multisoft was established in 1997 with the aim to solve computer-related problems experienced by our valued clients. From the very beginning we have been deeply convinced that it is the system that should be adjusted to its user and not the other way around.
Almost two decades of the fruitful cooperation only confirmed us in this belief.
Multisoft successes result largely from expansive action directed at the ATC international market (Air Traffic Control). Constantly the developing cooperation on this field is based mainly on building ATC systems up, creating devices and monitoring applications and the network computer along with their certification.
Our effectiveness on the difficult and responsible ATC market constitutes the statutory warranty of the solidity on the domestic market, not only in the field of the air-traffic control, therefore as qualified and constantly improving team decided that experience acquired on this field for the extension of activity is also an excellent base beyond the ATC market.
Providing our customers with quality services and products, having safety as our top priority.
The trust and robustness of our systems has reached such a level of trust between our customers and are already implemented in more than 30 countries in 5 continents.
