byteENGINE AM437x is a computing module based on Sitara AM437x CPU by Texas Instruments. The ARM Cortex-A9 CPU clocked at 1 GHz offers a variety of features. The main functions are available on one of the three plug-in connectors for a variety of applications, such as medical, measurment and motor drive control.
With the AM437x CPUS family, you can choose from 4 pin compatible devices. The four integrated PRUSS provide support for Ethercat, Profibus and other fieldbus protocols. Beside the fieldbus it remains two PRUSS for your own realtime application. The byteENGINE AM437x module is the ideal basis for your innovative developments.
The module is supplied with the matching Linux kernel, enabling byteENGINE to meet the requirements of all your applications. The freely available source code ensures reliable performance and maximum expandability.
With 1 GB RAM and up to 32GB eMMC Flash, byteENGINE is not only generous regarding data storage, but also tolerant in temperatures ranging from -40 ºC to +85 ºC. A performance of 2000 MIPS at a power consumption of less than 2 watts is Green IT by definition.
