Evan Wakefield is an automotive wireless software applications engineer in the SimpleLink business unit at Texas Instruments (TI). Over the past two years, he has worked in the Bluetooth Low Energy team, supporting automotive customers focused on car access and real-time localization systems on the CC13xx and CC26xx ARM®-based MCU portfolios. Prior to this role, he played a vital role in the development and growth of new products in the MSP430 FRAM MCU and MSP432 ARM®-based MCU portfolios; responsible for the SoC and whole-product definition, creation, lead customer support and management of various customer facing collateral and marketing activities for new silicon development projects. After receiving a B.S. in both Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas in 2013, Evan received his M.S.E.E. with a focus in Computer Engineering and Electromagnetics in 2014 from SMU.
