Bruce Douglass


Dr. Bruce Powel Douglass has deep and broad expertise from over 40 years experience designing safety-critical real-time systems in a variety of hard real-time environments. He has designed and taught courses in agile methods, requirements management, object-orientation, MBSE, real-time systems, engineering process improvement and safety-critical systems development. He is the author of over 6000 book pages from a number of technical books including The Harmony aMBSE Deskbook, Agile Systems Engineering, Real-Time UML, Real-Time UML Workshop for Embedded Systems, Real-Time Design Patterns, Doing Hard Time, Real-Time Agility, and Design Patterns for Embedded Systems in C. He is formerly the Chief Evangelist and thought leader at IBM. He currently consults, mentores and trainers engineers all over the world, speaks at many different conferences, and authors tools and processes for the systems engineering and embedded software development.
