The program committee of electronic displays Conference 2011 has published the Call for Papers for next year’s conference. The 25. electronic displays Conference (ED)is the established Conference in Germany for promoting the dialogue and discussion between engineers, researchers, users, and manufacturers/distributors in the field of electronic displays.
The program committee calls for ideas and contributions from research & development and applications as well as market trends to enrich the conference.

The electronic displays Conference is a technical conference. Purely marketing- or PR-oriented papers will not be accepted. The official language is English. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Conference Committee for acceptance.

ROBERT BOSCH Student Paper Award 2011
In a special session within the electronic displays Conference program, student papers are presented and awarded by the »ROBERT BOSCH Student Paper Award«.
Part of the award is a publication in the electronics magazine DESIGN&ELEKTRONIK. The price sponsored by ROBERT BOSCH is a high end electronic device like a personal navigation system with live view camera as awarded in 2009 or an exclusive coffee machine in 2010.
Applications for the ROBERT BOSCH Student Paper Awardcan be submitted using the submission form at www.electronic-displays.de.
Deadline for submission is 17.January 2011
Review 2010: New records for visitors and exhibitors
The embedded world Exhibition&Conference 2010 ended on a very successful note with a record number of visitors and exhibitors. This is clearly confirmed by the 730 international exhibiting companies, 4 per cent up on last year, and 18,350 trade visitors from all over the world (+16 per cent). The event decisively shows that the embedded industry and its community platform are successful. The embedded world Conference and electronic displays Conference rounded off the overall picture with 7 per cent more participants.
The next embedded world Exhibition&Conference takes place from 1–3 March 2011.
